i was thumbing through their bible and noticed in a few sections some have god as their one and only savior and other sections have jesus as their savior.

What do they teach and preach today? I think that we are saved by Jesus through God.

I get that error a lot too. Not sure why it posts that way. I've learned after writing a really good post a few times, only to have an error show up instead, to save my post before posting. It sucks having to re type it and it is not even nearly as close as it was the first or second time you tried to write it.

the nwt states this: romans 1:16. for i am not ashamed of the good news; it is, in fact, gods power for salvation to everyone having faith...".
Sometimes I find it annoying that so many versions are out there. So annoying it is frustrating. How are we to get points to anyone in sharing the Word of God if they can prove us another way and try to shoot our claim down with their version.

why does the nwt use slaves rather than the proper term servants.

That does make a lot of sense. However, I was thinking about it more on these terms. A servant willingly comits himself to serve a master that he loves and respects. And by doing that, that is going to help us on our way to get to where we want to be. Notice I said help us not actually get us
A slave is more or less forced to do something because his own demands it. And they have to do it. On the other hand, although, God does command us to do a lot, not everyone abides by His rules.
I'm going to go with Servant. Sounds more appealing, I think. I think as servants we feel more of a desire to serve our Master.
Perhaps it's one of those things, call it want you want? By serving God, and the only God and with our faith there we'll make it.

I like to see a good translation that includes all the verses as KJV (not to say that I'm KJV only-- I am not) even though it is "not found in older manuscripts" la di da

I use crosswalk.com as it has different versions on it.
Hardbound bibles I use KJV, NKJV, NIV, and a pile of others. Why? because I like to compare them. I use the 4 in one as well so I don't have to have a lot of bibles with me at one time. :0)

they use "good news" rather than Christ? Are they ashamed to say Christ's name?
Just a thinking, i'd like to hear answers though.
